The original 3-page story below was drawn around Spring 2009. I finished the entire thing in a couple of days and ever since wanted to redo it. Few people misunderstood the story and probably pictured me as a cynical moron who thinks that cancer is funny. I don't think that cancer is funny, neither is death due to any other causes. The ending of the original story was bothering me too. Hence, I had to state the allegorical sense of the bear's death more clearly to drift away from the void of nihilistic parody somewhere to the melancholy land of cautious optimism. I will probably keep redoing the story a few more times as my mind disintegrates with time.

I attempted to draw him in oil.

Obviously failed at that miserably.
